Apparently these days I'm known as the rocker chick type, but I cannot particularly see it. I was feeling sad, so I would like call this my emo outfit. After moving to Merced, I had to check out the downtown and found a swanky record shop, Tigers and Daggers, and thus my tee was the glory of that entire store. The dark camo is not something one would pair with a band tee, but it's a modern look, I'd say. The classic converse tie the entire outfit together, taking it back to the 80's. This outfit was most likely unconsciously inspired by Jesse Rutherford, since I was listening to "Daddy Issues" moments before in a robe.
If someone googled 'angsty teen', these are the stock photos that would show up. However, these were taken around 12am in a laundromat. The biggest revelation would be that floral skirts can, in fact, look quite grunge in the right setting. A black tee with the grim reaper graphic supports the cause. My little white sandals are the perfect touch of girly and delicate to completely throw the outfit in a loop. I understand how this would not please every individual's taste, but it's a look I prefer. All pieces were thrifted, which therefore makes the outfit inevitably unique. This particular outfit is somewhat simple, something I'm not used to, only because I started college, so trotting around with an off-the-shoulder top and backpack can be quite the feat. Nonetheless, may angst live on forever.
