Jordan and I decided to swap places for once. Seeing as she always had a lollipop in her right pocket and three earrings all the time, I was intrigued by her. I've never seen Jordan look over the top with her outfits, yet she still stood out in a crowd. I wanted to know if her simplicity meant anything significant, or if it was a style of life. She responded with, "My clothes reflect my personality. I feel that even when I'm in just a pair of jeans and a tee, I can be who I want to be. I can wear what I want while being happy. My clothes are pretty simple and, that being said, make me happy. I think that sometimes even plain things can create a disticnt look and make not only your clothes stand out, but also your personality. My outfits revolve around comfort and lots of logos. I chose this shirt with pizza on it because pizza is my favorite food and I love the halter top with a pair of shorts because they're easy to slip on".
"My style makes me feel that I can make any simple outfit my own by just being me. I truly believe that no matter what you wear, a smile and a good laugh brings your style together to display a positive image! As they say, look good feel good."
The simple question is: if you're not happy, what are you? Middle school was the prime time for girls to freak out about their appearance, so we all changed ourselves. Drastic changes can either define your sense of self, or take away from who you are. I must applaud Jordan for never changing herself excessively. She has kept it simple for as long as I've known her and she reflects herself in her attire. I just appreciate that she's got varying colors of black on.
